The position is for a Venafi Senior Security Engineer located in Raleigh, NC.
This is a full-time role aimed at mid to senior level candidates with at least 9+ years of experience.
The candidate must have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing Venafi TLS Protect for Data Center services.
Experience with deploying Venafi TLS Protect services in AWS is required.
Candidates with experience in Venafi software upgrades, new deployments, or large migrations will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and upgrading Venafi services, as well as integrating with PKI/Certificate Authorities.
Familiarity with Terraform, PowerShell, and Python is advantageous.
Experience with Openshift or Kubernetes is also a plus.
Knowledge of PKI, Certificate Authorities, and HSMs is beneficial.
Experience with APIs and REST/JSON is considered a plus.
Relevant skills include Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, and familiarity with Jira and Agile framework.
The role requires documentation, runbook development, change control, and design experience.
A solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI, and basic subnetting/networking concepts is necessary.
The candidate will be expected to deliver comprehensive documentation, including runbooks, design diagrams, and change control processes, while adhering to Agile principles and network security best practices.
