Leaseweb is looking for a highly motivated Virtualization Engineer to join their VMware Cloud team in Amsterdam.
The VMware Cloud team delivers virtualized computing solutions based on VMware technology.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the worldwide cloud hosting platform.
You will work in an agile team that values multidisciplinary collaboration, trust, autonomy, and full ownership of services.
Responsibilities include simple maintenance tasks and complex projects, with opportunities to work with various technologies.
You will design, build, and support products, with a significant impact on the services provided.
Key responsibilities include researching new technologies, collaborating with departments and vendors, supporting the sales team, maintaining customer relationships, ensuring service uptime, and providing third-level support.
Requirements:
Proficiency in VMware solutions, specifically vSphere 6.x, 7.x, and vCloud director.
Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Active Directory, DNS, and Servers.
Experience with Linux distributions such as CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian.
Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts.
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, including Powershell, Python, Perl, Bash, Chef, or Ansible.
VMware VCP6/VCAP6 certifications are preferred, or a willingness to obtain them.
Strong team player who supports a culture of trust, autonomy, and collaboration.
Self-motivated with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Good command of written and spoken English and Dutch.
