Squiz is seeking a frontend developer to join their marketing team, focusing on building, maintaining, and enhancing their public-facing web presence.
The developer will work closely with marketers, UX/UI designers, and digital specialists while being supported by a global network of engineers and consultants.
Daily tasks include building components and pages in their Digital Experience Platform (DXP), recommending frontend solutions, troubleshooting bugs, and contributing ideas for customer experience enhancement.
Responsibilities include building pages, components, and interfaces using HTML, CSS (SCSS, Tailwind), and JavaScript (vanilla, React), translating marketing requirements into responsive web experiences, and optimizing frontend performance and accessibility.
The developer will manage their work independently via Jira, troubleshoot and QA their own work, contribute to code reviews, and recommend features and tools from the DXP.
Collaboration with backend and product teams is essential to ensure seamless integration and support website projects from idea to delivery.
Requirements:
Candidates must have advanced proficiency in front-end technologies, including accessible HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks such as Tailwind and React.
Experience in writing backend scripts and APIs using Node.js and related frameworks is required.
A strong understanding of content management concepts and experience using CMS to build websites, apps, and portals is necessary.
Familiarity with the web software development lifecycle, including understanding written requirements, QAโing code, and releasing code to various environments is advantageous.
Strong experience with code repositories, particularly GitLab, is essential.
Knowledge of web security best practices and performance optimization techniques is required.
Candidates should demonstrate troubleshooting skills and an understanding of how solutions fit within a large SaaS platform.
Experience working in collaborative agile environments using tools such as Jira and Git is preferred.
