Description:

  • As a Web-Tools Engineer, you will be tasked with helping to implement and maintain the internal tools needed to support and develop an unannounced project.
  • You will develop and maintain web tools to support different aspects of the game development process.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest web development technologies and techniques is essential.
  • You will write code that fulfills the functional and technical requirements of the project.
  • Participation in the development and implementation of products and performing testing activities is required.
  • You will work closely with other team members to implement solutions for the wider development team.
  • Building web-based tools that will make the lives of designers, developers, and product owners easier is a key responsibility.
  • Integrating existing external APIs and services is part of the role.
  • You must adhere to the project’s established coding standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • You should have 3+ years of experience developing web-based applications.
  • Proficiency in modern front-end web development frameworks such as ReactJS is required; knowledge of Vue.js or equivalent frameworks is acceptable.
  • You must be familiar with all elements of web-based apps, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and command line tooling.
  • A working knowledge of CRUD and RPC backend interactions is necessary.
  • Strong programming skills and the ability to code independently are essential.
  • A problem-solving mindset is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.
  • You should be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently when given a list of tasks.
  • A keen interest in games is important.
  • Experience with source control systems, particularly git or perforce, is essential.
  • Familiarity with modern web-based production tooling, such as Jira and Confluence, is required.
  • Experience integrating with existing frameworks and systems is necessary.
  • Database experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Experience developing content management systems and their best-practice UI/UX is a plus.
  • Experience using Unreal Engine 4/5 is also a plus.
