Software Mind is seeking a skilled (Senior) Backend Engineer to join one of their cross-functional product teams.
The role requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
The engineer will take ownership of the development and maintenance of backend services using .NET / .NET Core and C#, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities include working closely with internal client teams to design, build, and refine RESTful APIs and service components.
The engineer will contribute to architectural decisions, share best practices, and help establish clean, maintainable, and testable codebases.
Participation in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to maintain high engineering standards is expected.
The engineer will identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and support the integration of backend services with third-party systems.
Clear documentation of systems and contribution to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation is required.
Effective communication with stakeholders on both client and service sides in both German and English is essential.
Requirements:
Proven experience with .NET / .NET Core and C# for building and maintaining backend services is required.
A strong command of SQL and Entity Framework, including performance tuning and data modeling, is necessary.
Solid experience in designing, building, and consuming REST APIs is expected.
Candidates must be confident in writing PowerShell scripts for automation and configuration tasks.
Familiarity with build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps is required.
Understanding of clean architecture principles and the ability to contribute to scalable, modular systems is essential.
Comfortable communicating technical topics clearly in both German and English is a must.
