Description:

Quora is hiring its first AI Automation Engineer to lead the application of AI internally across the company.
This position is remote and can be performed from multiple countries around the world.
The engineer will focus on automating work to increase productivity and improve product quality, decision-making, and internal processes.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining internal tools that automate existing work, collaborating with teams to identify automation opportunities, rapidly prototyping AI-enabled utilities, and supervising AI choices in system architecture.
The role requires staying updated on the latest AI models and tools to apply that knowledge effectively.

Requirements:

Candidates must be available for meetings during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack development with strong skills in Python, React, and JavaScript is required.
Experience in creating LLM-backed tools involving prompt engineering and automated evaluations is necessary.
Excellent debugging skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential.
Candidates should demonstrate a high level of ownership and accountability, especially with sensitive data.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are required.
The ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment with shifting priorities is important.
Experience working cross-functionally with teams outside of product development is preferred.
A natural collaborator who enjoys creating utility for others is ideal.
