They are seeking an Associate Principal Engineer for Performance and Site Reliability to work on cloud-based projects where performance, scalability, reliability, and resiliency are crucial.
The role involves building new offerings in the tech space, creating competencies in niche technology areas, and supporting sales teams.
The engineer will be responsible for maintaining application performance and uptime, supporting billions of online transactions daily.
Key responsibilities include designing scalable cloud-native architectures, setting performance goals, developing test plans, and analyzing system architectures.
The engineer will work closely with various teams to ensure product requirements are met, provide accurate scoping and strategies for performance tests, and communicate project status and risks effectively.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of Java/.NET, SQL/NoSQL, and event-driven architectures.
Hands-on experience with performance and reliability tools like Locust, JMeter, and Gremlin.
Experience in performance testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise software.
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to analyze technical data.
Understanding of concepts like throughput, latency, memory, CPU utilization, multi-threading, cache, memory management, Java Virtual Machine, and JIT.
Working knowledge of HTTP load generation/measurement software, APM, Observability tools, AJAX, HTTP, REST, JSON, database tuning, and operating system design/tuning/tools.
