EvenUp is seeking a Backend Software Engineer for their Client Portal team to enhance the user experience through AI tools and data processing.
The role involves building and refining an AI-driven platform to create an intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interface.
Responsibilities include collaborating with backend engineers, product owners, and designers to develop innovative solutions.
The engineer will implement robust, maintainable, and reusable code using a modern tech stack, including React and Typescript.
The position requires active engagement in the full project lifecycle, from conception to deployment and iteration.
The engineer will conceptualize the design and development of interfaces and integration architecture.
Optimizing application performance and responsiveness to ensure a smooth user experience is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have over 5 years of hands-on experience in crafting applications and user interfaces that are intuitive and user-friendly.
Proficiency in Python or Typescript is required, with a deep understanding of the entire application lifecycle, web services, and associated databases.
Experience with backend frameworks such as Django and Node is essential, along with a deep understanding of ORM and efficient query crafting.
A solid grasp of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and familiarity with protocols like SOAP, REST, and GraphQL is necessary.
Strong communication skills are required to convey technical ideas or issues in an understandable manner.
Candidates should demonstrate empathy and care for the user/customer experience.
Bonus qualifications include proficiency in Python and experience in AI, legal tech, and social impact projects.
