Description:

  • The Clinical Data Analyst will play a crucial role in improving patient outcomes and enhancing care coordination by transforming healthcare data into actionable insights.
  • This position will directly impact decision-making across clinical and operational teams by developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that reflect provider performance and population health metrics.
  • The analyst will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to analyze complex datasets, including claims, lab, pharmacy, and EMR data.
  • Responsibilities include gathering and translating stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable data tasks.
  • The role involves developing and optimizing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate healthcare data.
  • The analyst will analyze diverse datasets to inform clinical programs and operational processes.
  • Building and maintaining reports and dashboards to monitor patient populations and care utilization is essential.
  • Collaboration with clinical and operational teams will support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, quality, and integrity across multiple data sources is a key responsibility.
  • The analyst will present findings and insights to leadership and internal/external stakeholders to support business initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Healthcare, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in clinical or healthcare data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing complex datasets is required.
  • Experience working with healthcare data such as claims, lab results, and pharmacy data is necessary.
  • Familiarity with healthcare coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, DRG) and quality measures (HEDIS, CMS, NCQA) is required.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel, are necessary.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively are essential.
