Description:

  • Swan is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their team, focusing on computer vision algorithms.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in both modern and classical computer vision algorithms, including SLAM, feature tracking, detection, and modern ML and deep learning techniques.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing computer vision systems, particularly for aerial applications.
  • The role requires writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C++ and Python.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders is essential to understand requirements and conduct tests.
  • The engineer will optimize system performance and ensure reliable operation in diverse environments.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting system issues to implement effective solutions is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience, ideally in computer vision or machine learning.
  • Extensive experience in computer vision algorithms, SLAM, detection, tracking, and modern machine learning techniques is necessary.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns, is required.
  • Candidates should have extensive experience with sensor data processing, including calibration, filtering, and fusion techniques.
  • Familiarity with robotics frameworks such as ROS (Robot Operating System) is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills are required.
