The Data Analyst Internship at Mercari is a hands-on internship program where interns will be assigned to real projects and work as part of a team to contribute towards mission achievement.
Interns will have the opportunity to experience the culture of Mercari or Merpay, gain a concrete understanding of working as a data analyst, and receive feedback from experienced team members to enhance their skills and rethink their career plans.
The Data Analytics team at Mercari focuses on supporting critical decision-making in management and business by providing actionable insights, solving challenges in products and businesses through data analysis, and promoting data democratization to enhance overall analytical capabilities within the company.
Interns will collaborate with various departments within the company, participate in complex decision-making processes, identify opportunities for improvement in Mercari, Merpay, or Mercari Hallo through data analysis, maximize marketing effectiveness, and engage in a wide range of analytical tasks across different business areas.

Requirements:

Must resonate with the missions and values of Mercari Group and its companies.
Should possess the ability to explain complex concepts in a simplified manner with logical thinking skills.
Must have a deep understanding of Mercari's products, be proactive in making improvement suggestions, and be willing to join as a full-time employee upon graduation between June 2025 and May 2026.
Should be able to learn basic data operations before starting the internship and submit a data manipulation task using SQL, R, or Python during the selection process.
