Deep 6 AI is a fast-growing tech startup headquartered in Los Angeles, California, seeking a Data Ops Engineer to join their team.
The company is focused on transforming and accelerating clinical trials to expedite life-saving treatments and innovation in healthcare.
The role involves overseeing the end-to-end execution of the Deep 6 AI data pipeline, identifying issues quickly, and recommending rapid solutions.
Responsibilities include building proactive and reactive measures for supporting pipeline health, such as monitoring, alerting, dashboarding, visualization, observability, and telemetry.
The Data Ops Engineer will enhance the data pipeline using established data engineering core principles, ensuring data metrics for sufficiency and quality are captured and visible to all stakeholders.
Building strong relationships with cross-functional teams and contributing to discussions on data sufficiency across clients is essential.
The role may also involve leading or supporting special projects as needed.

Requirements:

Candidates must have proven success operating data pipelines at a similarly sized or larger company.
Proficiency in JVM languages, especially Kotlin, is required.
Experience with cloud-based platforms, particularly AWS, is necessary.
A positive, collaborative attitude and a strong sense of ownership are essential traits.
Knowledge of combining supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods is required.
Experience in training models with reinforcement learning is also necessary.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $130,000 to $140,000 a year.
