FocusKPI is seeking a Data Scientist & Engineer (SAP) to work on internal projects.
The candidate will develop and optimize data architectures that support business intelligence, predictive analytics, and AI/ML applications.
Responsibilities include designing and structuring data pipelines that connect SAP, Databricks, and Microsoft CRM for trend analysis, forecasting models, and AI-driven insights.
The role emphasizes building a feature store rather than traditional data models and requires a deep understanding of data organization for efficient reporting and advanced analytics.
Fluency in both English and Chinese is highly beneficial.
The position is remote, available anywhere in the US, with a contract duration of 9+ months and a pay range of $50+/hr based on experience.

Requirements:

A PhD or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in data science, building hands-on ML models, measurement, marketing strategy, and data analytics.
Strong proficiency in data processing using Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases is required.
Experience working with large datasets and developing natural language processing (NLP) models is essential.
Familiarity with MLOps tools, such as Airflow, is required.
An in-depth understanding of Machine Learning and AI algorithms, as well as model evaluation, is necessary.
A good understanding of SAP and CRM data is preferred, with expertise in SAP data structures like SAP HANA, SAP BW, OData, BAPI, and IDocs being a plus.
Strong understanding of workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Azure Data Factory) is required.
Experience with project management and proficiency with data warehouses, cloud computing, data storage, and ETLs is necessary.
Familiarity with building data visualization dashboards is preferred.
Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English is highly preferred.
Candidates should possess a strong can-do attitude, problem-solving skills, business acumen, and effective communication skills.
