Description:

Cognigy is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their engineering department and work on automating provisioning processes of Kubernetes clusters and their software application Cognigy.AI.
The role involves monitoring product installations and infrastructure, automating recurring procedures, providing guidance to other DevOps engineers, and participating in all phases of software engineering.
The DevOps Engineer will focus on increasing productivity by ensuring observability, scalability, availability, maintainability, and reliability while leading postmortems after incidents.
Continuous learning, customer feedback, and keeping the code base deployable to production are key aspects of the role.

Requirements:

Several years of experience in Kubernetes, running containers in production, and building Kubernetes clusters.
Willingness to be available in emergencies and experience with distributed systems like databases.
Good networking knowledge including VPC, Subnets, and Internet Gateways.
Proficiency in CI/CD systems like Jenkins, automation tools like Terraform, Helm, and Flux.
Excellent communication skills in English and at least B2 level proficiency in German.
Desirable skills include knowledge in auto-scaling infrastructure, experience with cloud platforms, coding proficiency in languages like Golang, Python, and familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and monitoring tools.
