Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• As a DevOps Engineer at Particle41, you will enhance software development and IT operations processes.
• You will focus on automating and streamlining processes for efficient and reliable software delivery.
• The role involves collaboration with development and operations teams to build, deploy, and maintain critical systems.
• You will ensure the reliability and scalability of customers' infrastructure.

• You will collaborate on the design, implementation, and maintenance of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and configurations is essential.
• You will design, implement, and manage automation processes for software build, deployment, and configuration.
• Evaluating, selecting, and implementing tools and technologies to enhance development and deployment efficiency is required.
• Managing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) to ensure scalability, reliability, and security is part of the role.
• You will implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Pulumi.
• Establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process is necessary.
• Developing and implementing monitoring solutions to ensure system and application health and performance is expected.
• You will proactively identify and address issues related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implementing and maintaining security best practices in infrastructure and application deployment is crucial.
• You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company security policies.
• Providing support for development and operations teams, addressing issues related to build failures, deployment problems, and system outages is required.
• Participation in on-call rotation to respond to and resolve critical incidents is expected.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role is necessary.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby is essential.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is required.
• In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems, preferably Git, is required.
• A solid understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools is essential.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are necessary.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are required.
• Certification (current or expired) in at least one of the following is necessary: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, GCP Cloud Engineer Associate, GCP Cloud Architect Professional, GCP Cloud Developer Professional, GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer Professional, GCP Cloud Security Engineer Professional, GCP Cloud Network Engineer Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist.
