Description:
Bosch is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Data Streaming Team, which focuses on the industrialization of a growing data streaming ecosystem using Apache Kafka.
The role involves working with real-time event streaming data platforms for high-performance data pipelines, streaming analytics, AI machine learning, data integration, and mission-critical applications.
The position requires strong skills and hands-on experience in Linux server administration and advanced knowledge of Kafka, Big Data, and Distributed Computing concepts.
Optional skills include programming in Python and experience with automation tools like Ansible and Jenkins.
The working hours are flexible, starting at 16:00 UTC (13:00 BRT) and ending at 01:00 UTC (22:00 BRT) to collaborate with colleagues in the US time zone.
The role includes 24x7 on-call duties during weekends.
The candidate should be excited about learning new technologies in Big Data, streaming, cloud, AI, and automation.
The position offers the opportunity to work in an international team with colleagues from Germany, China, North America, and India.
Requirements:
A completed university degree (bachelor's, master's, diploma, or PhD) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable field is required.
The candidate must be a team player, communicative, and willing to take on responsibilities while proactively driving activities.
Strong skills and hands-on experience in Linux server administration are essential, with optional experience in automation tools (like Ansible), programming (like Python, Bash, Java), version control systems (like Git), and CI/CD pipeline tools (like Jenkins).
Strong communication skills in written and spoken English are necessary.
The candidate should have an analytical and result-oriented working practice.
