Description:
Token Metrics is seeking a results-oriented IT administrator to manage the company's IT infrastructure.
The role involves upgrading and installing hardware and software, troubleshooting to resolve IT issues, and maintaining networks and servers.
The candidate should possess extensive experience in administration, including system administration for cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS and knowledge of multi-cloud infrastructure).
Responsibilities include acting as a cloud system admin for AWS and Google Cloud, monitoring and maintaining networks and servers, and creating and automating alerting and monitoring system logs.
The engineer will build tools to mitigate weaknesses in incident management or software delivery and troubleshoot support escalation requests.
Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives is also part of the job.
Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats, creating user accounts, and performing access control are essential tasks.
The role requires performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems, documenting processes, and backing up and archiving data.
Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures and designing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems are key responsibilities.
The engineer will supervise and mentor IT department employees while providing IT support and keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a similar field is required.
An applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification, is necessary.
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in a similar role.
Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies is essential.
A solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security is required.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills are necessary for this position.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to succeed in this role.
