Description:

Altimate AI is seeking a Founding DevOps Engineer to lead the DevOps initiative and architect the infrastructure strategy from the ground up.
The role involves collaborating with software, AI, and data engineering teams to build a robust, secure, and high-performance infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining a scalable cloud infrastructure, developing CI/CD pipelines, managing container orchestration with Kubernetes, and implementing Infrastructure as Code practices.
The engineer will set up observability systems, enforce security best practices, and advocate for DevOps/SRE best practices to improve system resiliency.
As a founding team member, the engineer will champion a DevOps culture and mentor other engineers on DevOps practices.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
Strong experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is required, including proficiency with cloud services.
Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD is necessary.
Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi is required.
Strong scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python, or Go are essential.
Candidates should have deep knowledge of observability and logging frameworks and experience in leading DevOps initiatives.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
