Description:
IOG is a technology company focused on Blockchain research and development, emphasizing peer-reviewed research and formal methods for security, scalability, and sustainability.
The Front End Developer (WebGL) will lead the development and implementation of creative and interactive web assets for IOG, ensuring a seamless, high-performing, and visually refined experience.
Responsibilities include working with stakeholders to validate specifications, actively participating in the ideation of creative projects, producing prototypes, and establishing best practices for writing scalable and maintainable code.
The role involves optimizing code for maximum speed and scalability, maintaining high quality standards, and acting as the technical point of contact for cross-functional teams.
The developer will collaborate with the QA function to ensure compliance with test cases and standards, implement project deliverables on time, and share best practices with the Web Development team.
Familiarity with work tracking software such as Jira and Slack is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience and demonstrable examples of working with visually refined and integrated WebGL experiences.
A relevant degree such as Computer Science or Software Engineering is required.
Proficiency in React and Tailwind CSS is necessary.
Expert-level knowledge of WebGL and Three.JS, as well as Javascript and Typescript, is essential.
Strong knowledge of performance testing features within modern browsers and the JS ecosystem, including NPM, Node JS, and Jamstack, is required.
Candidates should be well-versed in Git workflows and proficient in cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, with the ability to build responsive, mobile-first layouts.
The ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, manage shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines is crucial.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
Candidates should be composed under pressure, with a methodical approach to high-stakes problem solving.
Basic knowledge of image and design editing tools, such as Figma, is preferred.
A self-motivated, independent thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement is desired.
