Flexcar is redefining car ownership with a flexible vehicle subscription service that offers a smarter, more sustainable way for people to drive.
The company is seeking a Frontend Engineer - React Specialist (SDE-2) who has strong expertise in ReactJS and is willing to work on the Ruby backend.
This is a remote position available only to candidates currently residing in India.
The role involves building high-quality, responsive web applications using ReactJS and developing and maintaining backend APIs and services in Ruby.
The engineer will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to deliver features from start to finish.
Responsibilities include participating in technical design discussions, contributing to architectural decisions, reviewing code, mentoring peers, troubleshooting issues, and improving system performance and reliability.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6–8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
A strong command of ReactJS, including functional components, hooks, and state management, is required.
Applicants must be prepared to ramp up on Ruby quickly and contribute code using Ruby for backend services.
A solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs is necessary.
Experience integrating with backend services and working across the full tech stack is essential.
Candidates should have experience working in fast-paced environments with quick release cycles.
The ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code is required.
Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary, along with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
