Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our team.
• The ideal candidate is passionate about mobile development and has a strong understanding of Android app development concepts and best practices.
• The candidate should be oriented to ensure the quality of the products we build.
• This position is fully remote and requires fluent English.

Requirements:

• A higher degree in Computer Science or a similar field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in iOS development is necessary.
• The candidate must be an expert in consumer app development using Android SDK up to API level 34 and Jetpack libraries.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Kotlin and Coroutines are required.
• A good understanding of data structures and basic algorithms is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Firebase services is necessary.
• Experience with databases and ORMs such as Room, SQLite, Realm, or similar is required.
• The candidate should know when and how to use dependency injection.
• A good knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and architectural patterns (MV*, Clean architecture) is required.
• Awareness of “Material Design” principles and components is necessary.
• Strong experience with REST technology is required.
• The ability to write testable code and tests (unit, integration) is essential.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills are required.
• The position requires teamwork and a close working relationship with the extended Arlo team, including engineering, operations, customer support, and program management.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
• It is good to have excellent troubleshooting skills, especially with multi-threaded and performance-oriented applications.
• Experience with reactive architecture RxSwift, RxCocoa is a plus.
• Experience with XCTest Framework and UI Testing is beneficial.
• The ability to work well with tight schedules and rapid development cycles is advantageous.
• Experience with audio/video real-time communication and streaming video protocols (RTSP/RTP/HLS) is a plus.
• Experience with SIP, H265/264 Codec, FFMPEG, WEBRTC is beneficial.
