Description:
Laminar Projects is seeking an experienced hands-on Azure Data Engineer to lead and develop their data engineering team.
The role involves setting best practices and mentoring team members to improve their skills and performance.
The Data & Digital team focuses on using modern digital technologies, including Azure, Fabric, Power BI, and Python, to help clients effectively utilize data.
Key responsibilities include developing and mentoring the data engineering team, improving data engineering processes, delivering data solutions for clients, leading internal reporting data solutions, and productizing client solutions.

Requirements:
Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working with SQL, including building and optimizing analytics tables and complex queries.
At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, Git version control, agile development, and documentation skills.
Experience with Medallion Architecture for data pipelines and leading data/software teams is required.
Candidates should have experience building business processes for teams to follow.
Additional preferred qualifications include experience with Microsoft Fabric, relevant Microsoft certifications, Python and Azure Functions experience, and knowledge of C# and JavaScript.
