Description:

  • Laminar Projects is seeking an experienced hands-on Azure Data Engineer to lead and develop their data engineering team.
  • The role involves setting best practices and mentoring team members to improve their skills and performance.
  • The Data & Digital team focuses on using modern digital technologies, including Azure, Fabric, Power BI, and Python, to help clients effectively utilize data.
  • Key responsibilities include developing and mentoring the data engineering team, improving data engineering processes, delivering data solutions for clients, leading internal reporting data solutions, and productizing client solutions.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with SQL, including building and optimizing analytics tables and complex queries.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, Git version control, agile development, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Medallion Architecture for data pipelines and leading data/software teams is required.
  • Candidates should have experience building business processes for teams to follow.
  • Additional preferred qualifications include experience with Microsoft Fabric, relevant Microsoft certifications, Python and Azure Functions experience, and knowledge of C# and JavaScript.
