Description:

The Infrastructure Engineer will work on small teams to build scalable infrastructure for government services that millions of Americans depend on.
The role involves working within the government ecosystem, collaborating with other contractors and civil servants, and navigating a regulated environment.
Responsibilities include working with legacy systems, creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, coding, managing, configuring, and maintaining services, and updating documentation and runbooks.
The engineer will join the on-call rotation for production issues, participate in hiring activities, and build and maintain Terraform IaC and GitHub Actions workflows.
The position requires identifying infrastructure solutions to address client needs and making best practice recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements:
Candidates must have previous experience maintaining a medium or large-scale production system or COTS products using Infrastructure as Code.
Broad experience with AWS cloud offerings is required.
Significant experience in areas such as Cloud infrastructure, Unix/Linux, Windows, and scripting is necessary.
The ability to automate procedural tasks using scripting languages like Python, Javascript, Ruby, or Bash is essential.
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or other IaC and automation tools is required.
Candidates should possess tenacity to dive into problems and iterate in working code, along with being a systems thinker and user advocate.
A highly resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented mindset is necessary, along with strategic thinking around trade-offs and benefits.
Excellent written and real-time communication skills are required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience is desired, and a Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree is required.
