Description:

  • The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for leading the analysis of client business requirements to deliver strategic data solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • This role involves overseeing the design and development of data models and advanced Power BI dashboards, ensuring actionable insights for senior business stakeholders.
  • The engineer will drive the implementation and optimization of complex data models in Power BI, leveraging Medallion architecture principles (bronze, silver, gold layers) to ensure scalability and performance.
  • The position requires managing end-to-end project delivery, including defining project scope, timelines, and milestones, while ensuring alignment with client expectations and business objectives.
  • Establishing and enforcing best practices in data engineering is essential to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable data solutions that meet industry standards.
  • The Lead Data Engineer will proactively communicate project updates, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders, driving transparency and trust.
  • This role includes leading and mentoring a team of data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Facilitating high-level stakeholder conversations is necessary, translating technical concepts into business value and managing expectations to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading and delivering complex, end-to-end data solutions.
  • Demonstrated project management experience is required to ensure timely delivery and effective resource management.
  • Proven leadership skills are essential, with experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams to achieve project and organizational goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills are necessary, with the ability to engage senior leaders, build relationships, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis is required.
  • Extensive experience with Snowflake and Power BI, including advanced dashboard development and optimization, is essential.
  • Deep expertise in medallion data architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) and advanced data modeling techniques is required.
  • Candidates must have advanced knowledge of DAX calculations and measures for sophisticated analytics and performance optimization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are required, with a track record of proactive client engagement and stakeholder management.
  • Candidates should be self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to unblock challenges, drive progress, and deliver with minimal supervision.
