Remote Network Engineer SME

Description:

• The Network Engineer SME will be responsible for network management and maintenance.
• They will provide escalated support and troubleshooting for network issues.
• Creating network diagrams and other documentation will be part of their responsibilities.
• They will support the company's transition to modern cloud operations.
• Staying updated on industry trends and integrated technologies is essential.
• Conducting analysis, design, and preparing technical documentation for new toolsets and processes.
• Building strong relationships with scrum teams, engineers, architects, vendors, contractors, and leadership.
• Advocating for the use of configuration management tools for infrastructure in a hybrid cloud model.
• Aligning system capabilities with the overall solution and business strategy.
• Fulfilling IT Service Management roles including incident, problem, and change management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering.
• Proficiency in Splunk, Cisco, RHEL-8, scripting, and SAN technologies.
• Expertise in writing scripts and experience with SAN systems.
• Strong knowledge of network management and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively.
• Experience in creating network diagrams and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with modern cloud operations.
• Up-to-date with industry trends and integrated technologies.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management processes.
