Description:

JumpCloud is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for their India and Turkey region to help grow their engineering teams and contribute to the development of their unified open directory platform.
The role involves tackling complex problems, serving as a technical leader on cross-functional projects, and contributing to the long-term technical vision of the engineering team.
Responsibilities include building new technology initiatives, driving architecture, defining best practices, and ensuring platform quality.
The engineer will work alongside other Principal Engineers and Architects to implement AI and assist in the career development of team members through mentoring.
The position requires balancing technical leadership with strong business judgment to make informed technology choices.
The role is remote, and candidates must be located in and authorized to work in India.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 15+ years of experience as an engineer leading complex engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of Go or Node is required.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of Kubernetes.
Deep experience with Gateways and authentication/authorization frameworks is necessary.
Experience in a distributed systems environment is essential.
The ability to work with ambiguity and drive clarity while delivering incremental value is required.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment is necessary.
A strong technical foundation in software engineering design principles is required.
Experience working with geographically diverse engineering teams in a remote-first work environment is essential.
