Description:

BriteCore is seeking a Principal SQL Engineer to lead the modernization of their technology stack and foster a data-driven culture.
The role involves developing and optimizing backend systems using MySQL and Python, as well as integrating AI and automation to streamline data workflows.
Responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing existing ETL processes, developing new reports using SQL queries and Python scripts, and designing interactive dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver software solutions for complex business needs.
Clear and concise documentation for code and processes is also required.
This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be located in Argentina or Brazil, and it is a long-term Independent Contractor role.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of enterprise-level experience coding in Python and building Python-based web applications.
A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience working with MySQL or other SQL databases is necessary.
Candidates should have at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in web development, specifically in Python backend development.
Experience with building and consuming APIs for at least 3+ years is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
