Description:
Knock is a remote-first seed stage startup on a mission to enhance product communication with users through thoughtful notifications.
The company is looking for a full-stack engineer to join their small but growing team.
Full-stack engineers at Knock will work on product features from end-to-end, including customer-facing APIs and a Next.js powered workflow builder.
The role offers a high degree of ownership and autonomy over the features designed, built, and supported.
Knock values inclusivity and diversity in their team and encourages applications from underrepresented communities.
Responsibilities include working on features across the Knock product, owning product features from design to documentation, contributing to open-source SDKs, and supporting customers in creating notification systems.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience building full-stack web applications, with strong fundamentals in JavaScript or ideally Typescript, and a background in writing React.
A deep care for building elegant systems that are delightful to interact with at all levels, including API design, documentation, and user interfaces is essential.
Interest in creating tools that solve everyday problems for engineers and product teams is required.
Candidates should be excited about joining an early-stage team and playing a meaningful role in shaping the company's direction, product, and culture.
Prior experience with Elixir is a nice-to-have, but the company is willing to support learning the language.
Benefits:
Employees will have the opportunity to work in a remote-first environment with a small, dedicated team.
The role offers a chance to have a significant impact on the company's product and culture.
Team members will engage directly with customers, providing valuable insights into product development.
Knock promotes a culture of inclusivity and encourages diverse perspectives within the team.
