Description:

The Data Engineer III position is a full-time remote role based in Vietnam, focusing on public cloud offerings and delivery within Cloud Data Services.
The role requires deep expertise in specific areas such as Power BI, ETL design, visualization, Synapse SQL, Cloudera, Azure, or Snowflake.
The Data Engineer will be the owner of the project or module for internal stakeholders, including PMO and Principal.
Responsibilities include understanding and communicating project scope, defining and documenting the approach and design, and explaining these to customers and internal teams as needed.
The engineer will define detailed project tasks, create templates and artifacts for tasks, and establish task duration and dependencies.
They will assign tasks to team members, monitor progress, and ensure quality by reviewing code and unit testing results.
The engineer will assist team members on tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate knowledge and real-world experience with big data technologies and have a successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases is required, along with strong analytical skills for working with unstructured datasets.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role is necessary, with experience in big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
Familiarity with relational SQL databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Postgres is essential.
Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Azkaban, Luigi, or Airflow is required.
Knowledge of stream-processing systems like Storm or Spark-Streaming is necessary.
Proficiency in object-oriented or functional scripting languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Scala is required.
Senior data engineers should have project management and organizational skills, as well as experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field is preferred.
Candidates must communicate well in English and have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
