Description:
Rerun is building a new multimodal data stack for robotics and spatial AI, transforming large parts of the physical-world economy.
The company focuses on visualizing and handling multimodal logs through its open-source project, which is well-received by top teams globally.
The Robotics ML Engineer will build and explain AI-first robotics projects and data pipelines.
Responsibilities include creating examples and reference projects using Rerun's data infrastructure for embodied AI use cases, such as data pipelines for robotics imitation learning, data cleaning workflows, end-to-end physical robot setups, and simulation for evaluation and data generation.
The engineer will also create educational materials like blogs, tutorials, and videos to assist customers and the community.
Interaction with customers and the community is essential to gather feedback for improving projects and educational content.
The role involves using learnings to enhance the core Rerun product, sometimes by directly implementing fixes.
Requirements:
Candidates should possess an ownership mindset and a collaborative spirit.
A helpful attitude and a curious mindset are essential.
A track record of engaging projects and public communication, such as blogs, YouTube content, or well-documented READMEs, is preferred.
Broad knowledge of machine learning, 3D geometry, robotics, and related fields is necessary to build useful projects and communicate effectively.
Experience with MLOps and systems for transferring data from robots to GPUs, including Linux, Ray, file formats, PyTorch dataloaders, and NVIDIA DALI, is required.
Strong Python skills are mandatory, along with basic skills in C++ or Rust.
