You will work with an Egypt-based grocery delivery startup that has grown from a local bakery service to a full-scale platform offering thousands of daily essentials delivered in under an hour.
The startup is backed by over $33M in funding and operates across major Egyptian cities while expanding regionally with a strong tech-driven supply chain.
Responsibilities include designing and building advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other developers to implement intuitive UI/UX and scalable features, and optimizing application performance, usability, and responsiveness.
You will write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, mentor junior developers, identify and fix bugs, and stay updated with the latest Android development trends.
Participation in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives is also expected.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of professional Android development experience.
A strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid experience with Jetpack Compose is required.
A deep understanding of the Android SDK, architecture components, and modern app architecture (MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture) is essential.
Experience with RESTful APIs, offline storage, and performance optimization is necessary.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks is expected.
A good understanding of version control (Git) and code collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for this role.
