• The role involves collaborating with Software Engineers and other Applied Scientists on various AI initiatives.
• Responsibilities include finetuning and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production systems, training and deploying NLP and Computer Vision (CV) models, and designing scalable Q&A frameworks.
• The Applied Scientist will work with complex datasets to build ETL data pipelines and collaborate with product managers and engineers to enhance AI quality in production systems.
• The position requires effective communication with stakeholders and leading projects from inception to completion, making key architectural and modeling decisions.
• The role aligns technical work with business goals and communicates the impact of machine learning models on business outcomes.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have experience building sophisticated RAG pipelines with LLMs using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Proficiency in deep learning architectures, particularly with natural language models using Pytorch or Tensorflow, is necessary.
• Experience in developing applications with prompt engineering and fine-tuning using Google Vertex AI APIs or Azure Open AI APIs is required.
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience or a Master’s/PhD with 5+ years of experience.
• Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience creating publications and 3+ years of experience writing production code and maintaining AI/ML models.
• A minimum of 2 years of research experience in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, or related fields is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Python.
