Description:

The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Backend-based applications and software by analyzing user requirements and defining application functionality.
This role involves performing coding, software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting tasks.
The position reports to the Team Lead.
The developer will build and develop high performing, scalable Backend Applications and Interfaces and contribute to all phases of the application development lifecycle from designing to testing.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using the Laravel PHP framework, writing clean and efficient PHP code, implementing and managing robust database schemas, and developing and integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services.
The developer will ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through optimization and performance tuning, conduct thorough testing to ensure code reliability, and participate in code reviews.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and deliver new features is essential, as well as mentoring junior developers and staying updated with emerging trends and technologies.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
Relevant certifications such as Laravel Certification or PHP Certification are preferred.
Candidates should have 6 to 8 years of overall experience in PHP development, with at least 3 years in the Laravel framework.
Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework is necessary, along with proven experience in developing web applications and APIs.
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery is required.
Knowledge of database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL is essential.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, is expected.
Candidates should possess basic database management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Good organizational and time management skills are necessary, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize project timelines, and assist junior team members.
