Description:
The position is for a Senior Data Engineer at Unico, the first and largest IDtech in Brazil, focused on innovative identity protection solutions.
The role involves planning the data ingestion roadmap, translating needs into actionable technical plans, aligning expectations with organizational leaders, and managing action plans for the team.
The engineer will participate in and execute projects within multidisciplinary teams of Data & Advanced Analytics, collaborating with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists.
Responsibilities include understanding and developing data architectures, models, and pipelines, contributing to discussions on proposed solutions and architectures.
The engineer will participate in team ceremonies to follow agile management methodologies and manage workload using tools like Jira.
Ensuring the quality of deliverables and reporting progress against key objectives, including SLAs, incidents, efficiency, and costs, is essential.
The role requires developing ETL processes, programming, and supervision, resolving issues as they arise, and analyzing dashboards and performance indicators.
The engineer will evaluate the consistency and quality of information, respond to specific needs promptly, propose improvements, document processes, and identify opportunities through data analysis and insights.
Requirements:
Candidates must have solid experience as a Data Engineer.
Knowledge in Data Engineering, including ETL processes, data pipelines, and data lakes, is required.
Experience with cloud data storage and processing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is necessary, with GCP being a plus.
Proficiency in BigQuery, SQL, Spark, and Python applied to Data Engineering is essential.
Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, as well as DML and DDL methods, is required.
Candidates should have experience with version control using Git and have worked on improvements and optimizations in ETL processes.
