The company is seeking candidates with significant experience in Google Cloud to join their team.
The role involves eliminating obstacles, reducing risk, and accelerating timelines for customers transitioning to Google and seeking assistance with data and application modernization.
As a member of the Data Engineering team, you will work with innovative companies, leveraging Cloud as the key driver of their transformation.
You will be viewed as a trusted advisor, helping customers along their journey on Google Cloud.
The position requires covering a large spectrum of technology topics including ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, Distributed Data Processing, and Streaming Data systems.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience serving as a data engineer or in a comparable engineering capacity.
Strong skills in Python or a JVM language (Java, Scala) are required.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, including query authoring (SQL) and familiarity with various databases, is necessary.
Experience with cloud data warehouses, specifically BigQuery or Snowflake, is essential.
Candidates should have experience working with data platforms built on public cloud in a production setting.
Experience with GCP native data toolset is preferred.
Candidates must have built ELT or ETL pipelines processing large amounts of data.
Experience with dbt or Airbyte is preferred.
Development experience with production Spark or Hadoop applications is required.
Familiarity with workload scheduling and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow/Cloud Composer is necessary.
Candidates should be familiar with modern DataOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform.
Familiarity with the constellation of tools in the data engineering ecosystem is important, along with the ability to learn and recommend new tools.
Experience with batch, micro-batch, and real-time streaming architectures is required.
Good internal and customer-facing communication skills are essential.
Experience with relational database management systems and change data capture (CDC) is a plus.
