Remote Senior Data Scientist

Description:

• Base is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help bring a million developers and a billion users onchain.
• The role involves conducting analysis and deep dives on ambiguous business problems, resulting in insights and recommendations for decision making.
• The Senior Data Scientist will act as the owner for a broad scope of data and metrics, from core logging to data visualization presentation.
• Responsibilities include guiding code reviews, providing SQL and Python expertise, and creating well-maintained ETL jobs.
• The candidate will maintain a high standard for statistical rigor and ensure experimentation and causal analyses are conducted to build stakeholder confidence.

Requirements:

• A BA/BS in a quantitative field (such as Math, Stats, Physics, or Computer Science) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a quantitative field with at least 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience in driving impactful data science projects that address ambiguous problem spaces is essential.
• The candidate must have the ability to influence external stakeholders by synthesizing data learnings into compelling narratives.
• Practical expertise in applying complex modeling frameworks to real business problems is necessary.
• Professional experience using SQL and Python is required.
• Experience working with digital products in an iterative development cycle is preferred.
• The candidate should demonstrate core cultural values such as clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, and efficient execution.

Benefits:

• The target annual salary for this position ranges from $180,370 to $212,200 USD, depending on work location.
