The main product is a multi-cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that simplifies the deployment of Docker-based applications.
Divio manages a large-scale AWS setup for a single enterprise client, powering over 100 highly available websites.
The role of Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) involves ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of both infrastructures.
Responsibilities include patching, tuning, incident response, and maintaining the health of the stack.
The position requires pushing long-term improvements such as migrations, internal tooling, security hardening, and monitoring revamps.
The SRE will help shape the infrastructure to remain modern, secure, and developer-friendly.
The work environment includes a flexible, engineer-led process with 2-week sprints for Divio Cloud and a structured 3-week Scrum cycle for the Enterprise AWS project.

Requirements:

Candidates must have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
Solid expertise in Docker, AWS, and cloud-native infrastructure is required.
Programming experience is essential, ideally in Python and TypeScript, but other languages like Go and Java are also welcome.
Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code, ideally with Ansible and AWS CDK, is necessary.
A strong foundational knowledge of Linux, networking, the TCP/IP stack, and load balancing is required.
Candidates should possess a reliable and proactive mindset, taking responsibility and being able to work independently.
Comfort with support tasks and professionalism in client communication is essential.
Nice-to-have qualifications include hands-on Linux system administration experience, familiarity with Django or other Python web frameworks, and operational knowledge of services like PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch.
