Latitude is building a new category of AI-native games, creating interactive experiences powered by cutting-edge language models.
The Senior Front-End Engineer will own and deliver high-quality UI across web and mobile platforms in collaboration with design and product teams, from early prototypes to polished production.
The role involves driving front-end performance by instrumenting, analyzing, and optimizing for speed, responsiveness, and bundle size across key user flows.
The engineer will maintain a high standard for visual quality, accessibility, platform compatibility, and overall polish to delight players.
Rapid prototyping to validate ideas and accelerate learning and iteration cycles is a key responsibility.
The position requires writing clean, reusable, maintainable code and influencing team engineering practices through code reviews and pairing.
The engineer will evaluate and apply new tools and frameworks, shaping the evolution of the front-end stack with pragmatism and care.
Contributing technical insight to roadmap planning, breaking down features, surfacing tradeoffs, and helping shape usable and feasible solutions is expected.

Requirements:

Candidates should consider themselves full-stack engineers with a front-end focus and enjoy close collaboration with design and product teams.
Deep expertise in React/React Native, TypeScript, and component systems is required.
Experience in delivering cross-platform UIs using frameworks like React Native (specifically Expo and Tamagui) is necessary.
A motivation for user impact and attention to detail, including animation timing, performance metrics, and mobile UX quirks, is essential.
Candidates should thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and be excited to build alongside other senior engineers.
Strong design instincts and a passion for bringing designs to life are important.
Bonus qualifications include experience with GraphQL, mobile or native performance optimizations, or contributions to a shared component library.
