Description:

  • HumanSignal is seeking a Front-End Engineer to contribute to their data labeling automation platform.
  • The engineer will work on developing and maintaining front-end components with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Collaboration with backend engineers, product managers, and designers is essential to create intuitive and responsive web applications.
  • The role involves participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and the entire development process.
  • Establishing standards for front-end development, identifying areas for improvement, and mentoring junior engineers are key responsibilities.
  • The position offers the opportunity to work in a fully distributed organization with team members across North America, Europe, and South America.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in developing front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+), focusing on cross-browser compatibility, accessibility principles, and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Vuex) and front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite).
  • Comfort working with backend technologies such as REST APIs and Django GraphQL.
  • Ability to dive into backend code when necessary and a keen eye for design and UX.
  • High user empathy, a passion for impactful communication, and a BSCS or related degree.
