Description:

The organization is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to support the development of innovative technology products.
The role involves working within a cross-disciplinary team of product managers, data scientists, designers, and developers.
The engineer will contribute to the development of Loop, a software product aimed at connecting individuals in need with appropriate nonprofits.
Responsibilities include executing Quality Assurance procedures, maintaining automated testing in Selenium, designing infrastructure for developers, and developing both front-end user interfaces using React and back-end systems powered by Node, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
Candidates must be located in the United States and available to work during core business hours overlapping with the Eastern Time Zone.
Remote work is welcomed, with an option for in-person or hybrid work near Arlington, VA.
Applicants should include links to engineering portfolios or GitHub repositories.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in frontend, backend, or web infrastructure technologies, with a strong interest in learning across the stack.
A passion for software quality and user experience is essential.
Knowledge of product delivery practices such as continuous delivery, automated testing, and test-driven development is required.
Candidates should be willing to fail fast and iterate continuously.
High-quality, maintainable code, collective code ownership, and continuous improvement are valued.
Curiosity and collaboration are important, with an openness to pair programming and mentoring.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and experience with asynchronous collaboration.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and deployment experience in at least one platform (e.g., AWS) is necessary.
Experience with manual Quality Assurance and setting up testing technologies (e.g., Selenium, Storybook, Jest) is a must.
Professional experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js is required.
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and tooling, such as Next.js, Express, or Storybook, is a plus.
