Description:

  • Loopio is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Strategic Insights team within Engineering.
  • The role focuses on empowering customers with actionable insights to improve proposal quality, win rates, and team productivity.
  • Responsibilities include enhancing dashboard usability, integrating tailored recommendations, and showcasing Loopio's ROI to executives.
  • The engineer will work closely with Product Managers, Software Developers, and Data Scientists to design, build, maintain, and optimize data management and machine learning applications.
  • The position involves developing software to integrate machine learning capabilities into the platform through REST services.
  • The engineer will build data processing pipelines for data analysis and machine learning tasks, and automate data pipelines in production.
  • The role requires performing code reviews and adding automated testing to ensure high software quality.
  • The engineer will collaborate with teams across Canada, the UK, and India, and will work from 11 am to 7:30 pm IST to accommodate time zone differences.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4+ years of experience as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Experience in a high-growth agile software development environment is required.
  • Applicants should have experience developing machine learning-driven applications.
  • A strong interest and background in statistical modeling and machine learning is necessary.
  • A good understanding of ETL, data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecting is required.
  • Candidates should be able to work with data scientists and translate proof of concept models into production-strength systems.
  • Development skills in Python, relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis or Cassandra), and data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark or Presto) are essential.
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Pytorch, Kinesis, and Lambda is required.
  • The ability to take projects from early concept to finalized production solution is necessary.
  • Experience with microservice architectures and strong test automation skills (unit and functional) are required.
  • Bonus qualifications include experience with container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), MLOps and CI/CD for ML applications, and Natural Language Processing techniques.
