Description:

Axelera AI is seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Engineer focused on system architecture, particularly in memory design, intra- and inter-chip networking, and interconnect technology.
The primary role involves designing, architecting, and optimizing hardware architecture for AI acceleration platforms.
Responsibilities include contributing to the design and implementation of next-gen AI accelerators, building architectural models, validating performance across AI workloads, and creating detailed architectural specifications.
The engineer will define and perform rigorous performance evaluation tests, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
The role also involves contributing to the team's knowledge base, collaborating on joint research projects, and contributing to Axelera's intellectual property through patents and publications.

Requirements:

A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with a focus on circuit design and computer architecture is required.
Basic working knowledge of Neural Networks, specifically Convolutional or transformer Neural Networks, is necessary.
Experience in both software and hardware development is required.
Strong programming skills in Python are essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment are required.
Preferred qualifications include experience or knowledge of networking protocols such as RoCE or Infiniband, and basic knowledge of common computer architectures and SoC architecture.
A proven track record of innovative contributions to AI/ML projects or research initiatives, including publications or patents, is preferred.
