Description:

Koombea is seeking a Senior Rust Developer to join their team remotely in LATAM.
The role involves conceiving, designing, and implementing software applications.
You will collaborate with multifaceted teams to create robust and efficient solutions.
Responsibilities include integrating user-facing and server-side components, building reusable code and libraries, optimizing app performance, implementing security measures, reviewing and maintaining codebases, designing data storage solutions, and deploying tested code.
The position requires experience with AWS, building and consuming RESTful services, and familiarity with AI tools or frameworks such as Cursor, Windsurf, and AWS Bedrock.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with Rust.
Experience working with AWS is required.
Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful services is necessary.
Candidates should be proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript code bases.
Experience with major relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is required, including custom indexing and schema design.
Proficiency in English at a B2 level is necessary.
Experience with AI technologies, specifically with Cursor, Windsurf, and AWS Bedrock, is required.
Familiarity with other back-end languages or frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and Node.js is a plus.
Experience in implementing event streaming services like Apache Kafka is a nice-to-have.
Experience with backend frameworks like Rocket or Actix is also a nice-to-have.
Familiarity with JS frameworks such as React or Vue is considered a plus.
