As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of the company’s infrastructure and applications.
You will collaborate with software engineering, architecture, and operations teams to design and implement highly automated systems.
This role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, systems operations, network architecture, and software development.
You will provide technical support across all of Business Wire’s SaaS-based applications and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner with a passion for designing and implementing innovative solutions for supportability and reliability improvements.
Responsibilities include designing automated systems, maintaining monitoring and alerting, improving application performance, developing disaster recovery plans, participating in on-call rotations, and driving incident root cause analysis.

Requirements:

You must have 7+ years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 5 years as an SRE in a high availability, 24x7 hybrid environment (Colo/Cloud).
A strong record of automation experience is required, including proficiency in Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
You should have strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ArgoCD) in a GitOps framework.
Experience with application monitoring, observability, and alerting systems (e.g., New Relic, Grafana) is essential.
You must be proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Python or Java.
Advanced experience with Linux system administration, Java-based applications, and network architecture is necessary.
You should be able to participate in architecture reviews.
AWS-related certifications (Architecture, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineer) are a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $175K to $185K/year, determined by factors such as education, experience, and internal equity.
