Description:

River is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build financial solutions that enhance a transparent and efficient global economic system using Bitcoin.
The role involves architecting and developing new features and products in the Elixir codebase that powers web applications and APIs.
The candidate will work closely with product management to plan and scope new projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities include writing high-quality, tested code, participating in code reviews, and helping shape the engineering culture for the future.
The web stack primarily consists of Elixir (Phoenix and LiveView) with Postgres for data storage.

Requirements:

The candidate must have 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
Experience in designing, building, and maintaining production services at scale is required, along with an understanding of how to build reliable systems.
The candidate should write high-quality, reliable code and take ownership of the systems they work on.
Experience in developing solutions to ambiguous problems is necessary.
A solid understanding of web security fundamentals is required.
The candidate should be excited about the projects being developed at River.

The position offers a 100% remote option available within the Americas and Europe, with offices located in San Francisco, New York City, and Columbus.
The salary range is between $150,000 - $220,000, based on skills and experience.
