Description:

Rockbot is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join their collaborative team and make a significant impact on the business.
The role involves developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and reusable software components for core products.
Responsibilities include identifying bottlenecks and performance issues, implementing optimization strategies, and working closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, QA, and Customer Support to ensure successful product delivery.
The engineer will make impactful decisions regarding product, code architecture, and processes while working in a highly collaborative environment.
Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, contributing to technical discussions, and driving technical decisions are also key aspects of the role.
The position is remote and open to candidates located in the United States.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of backend software development experience, preferably in Golang or a similar language.
A minimum of 2+ years of frontend software development experience using technologies like Vue, React, or similar is required.
Experience in deploying large-scale applications in a CI/CD pipeline is necessary.
Candidates should have a background in designing and building RESTful APIs and working directly with design/product teams to build product requirements.
Experience with large datastores, cache systems, high traffic, and high availability systems is essential.
Familiarity with deploying applications on cloud hosting providers such as GCP or AWS is required.
Mobile software development experience (Native, React Native, or similar) is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with a detail-oriented approach, are essential.
Candidates should demonstrate initiative in identifying and addressing problems proactively to improve processes and outcomes.

The compensation for this role ranges from $140K to $220K base salary, plus equity and benefits for all team members.
