Description:

  • Included Health is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their Integrated Care Engineering team, which focuses on enhancing healthcare experiences for clinicians and care teams.
  • The role involves developing an internal suite of products that are fast, accessible, and intuitive, while collaborating closely with Product Management, Design, and Care and Clinical teams.
  • Responsibilities include leading technical planning for member experience improvements, designing systems for data flow, owning the development of telemedicine features, addressing product reliability issues, and promoting software engineering best practices.
  • The ideal candidate should have significant experience in building consumer-grade web applications, a solid understanding of full-stack web development, and a passion for continuous growth and learning.
  • The position is remote and offers a competitive salary based on geographic zones, along with equity and benefits.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have at least 6+ years of professional experience in building and maintaining consumer-grade web applications.
  • A solid understanding of full-stack web development, including modern frontend frameworks, APIs, and backend services, is required.
  • Strong programming skills and a track record of implementing highly reliable software are essential; a formal CS degree is not mandatory.
  • Candidates should be exceptional problem solvers, able to engage in technical debates, and demonstrate strong product ownership.
  • The ability to interact appropriately with leadership, employees, and members is necessary, along with the capacity to remain seated for prolonged periods and perform light lifting as needed.
