Description:

The Senior Software Engineer will work remotely and is responsible for helping schools and districts improve communication between families and educators.
The role involves teaching and learning from teammates while understanding their challenges and needs to ship new features every sprint.
Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, deploying, debugging, finding and fixing bugs, reducing costs, securing systems, running projects, documenting challenges, and improving processes.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience in web development with large-scale services using Ruby/Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Proficiency in service and application development with MySQL/Postgres is required.
Experience in deploying and operating systems at scale on AWS/Aurora/RDS/SQS is necessary.
Candidates should have proficiency with RESTful API development.
Familiarity with incremental, agile development processes, as well as CI/CD, is essential.
