Description:

  • The Senior Software Engineer at Nava will improve overall engineering quality through documentation, technical guidance, mentoring, and applying best practices to the work.
  • This role involves leading significant migration efforts and collaborating with government stakeholders to gain buy-in on technical initiatives.
  • The engineer will work with the product team, government stakeholders, and other contractors to build new systems and enhance existing systems.
  • Responsibilities include designing, reviewing, and building well-crafted software with fellow engineers.
  • The engineer will collaborate with government partners and contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements.
  • The role requires working in an agile manner to efficiently ship new features that meet user needs.
  • The engineer will create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows.
  • Responsibilities also include writing and reviewing technical documentation, performing code reviews, and participating in an on-call rotation to support production systems.
  • The engineer will assist in hiring activities and help develop the overall vision for Salesforce updating and integration.
  • The role includes implementing the merge of two similar Salesforce orgs, integrating with external data sources, and consolidating data models.
  • The engineer will analyze existing Apex code and determine what should be retained, rewritten, or moved to a Flow, as well as consolidate existing Flows and code.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience working in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably designing and building medium to large-scale Salesforce applications.
  • A Senior Salesforce Engineer is required to work with an Architect and junior developers to decide and implement modernization strategies.
  • Experience with AWS and SQL databases is a plus.
  • Candidates should have an understanding of user interface design best practices.
  • A demonstrated ability to integrate Salesforce into an enterprise-level cloud application is necessary.
  • Candidates must possess the tenacity to dive into problems and iterate in working code.
  • The ideal candidate should be an equal parts systems thinker and advocate for users, highly resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Candidates must have the ability to think strategically around trade-offs and short-term vs. long-term benefits.
  • An adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both technical and otherwise, are required.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet any other requirements for government contracts.
