As a Senior Software Engineer on the Staff Portal Lending team, you will design, build, and maintain scalable systems that deliver a first-class experience for both Credit Union members and staff, ultimately driving the growth in loan applications.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Product and Design teams, as well as collaborate with external partners, enhancing skills beyond engineering, such as communication, product thinking, and negotiation.
The Staff Portal Lending team is dedicated to enhancing digital tools that empower Credit Union staff to deliver personalized service efficiently through a modern, web-based application designed to streamline in-branch lending processes.
You will be part of a collaborative team of full-stack engineers who value deep product knowledge and cross-functional teamwork, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with community needs.

Requirements:

You must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
Proficiency across both frontend and backend is required, with experience in TypeScript, React, Next.js, NestJS, Python, and AWS.
Experience in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests is essential, as the team does not rely on external QA validation.
A proactive mindset and the ability to organize your own work without explicit instructions are necessary.
You should have a strong product mindset and the ability to connect code to business outcomes clearly.
Effective cross-functional communication skills and the ability to deliver solutions with measurable impact are required.
Excellent English communication skills are mandatory.
